"ASME B16.5 150LB SLIP - ON FLANGE SCH10S, RF" represents a slip-on flange that complies with the B16.5 standard established by the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME). It has a specific pressure rating, wall thickness and sealing surface form and is widely used in various industrial piping systems.

Pressure rating (150LB)
Relationship between pressure and temperature: The working pressure corresponding to the 150LB pressure rating varies at different temperatures. Generally speaking, at room temperature, it can withstand a pressure of about 2.0MPa, but as the temperature rises, its allowable working pressure will decrease accordingly.
Application pressure range: Suitable for low-pressure piping systems, commonly found in water supply and drainage, ventilation, air conditioning and other systems in general industrial plants, as well as some fluid delivery pipelines in the chemical, food and other industries that do not require high pressure.

Flange type (SLIP - ON FLANGE)
Structural features: The inner diameter of the slip-on flange is slightly larger than the outer diameter of the pipe, generally 1 - 3mm larger. This design allows the pipe to be easily inserted into the inner hole of the flange, and then the pipe and the flange are connected together by welding the fillet weld on the outside of the flange. Double-sided fillet welding is usually used for welding, and the weld height is determined according to the pipe wall thickness and design requirements.

Advantages and Disadvantages
Advantages: Easy installation, no complex processing of the pipe ends is required, reducing installation costs and time; the concentricity requirements of the pipe are relatively low, and it is easier to adjust and align during installation.
Disadvantages: Since the welding form is fillet welding, its strength is lower than that of butt-welded flanges. When subjected to high pressure, vibration or impact loads, fatigue cracks are prone to occur in the weld; the sealing performance is relatively poor, and additional sealing measures may be required in some occasions with extremely high sealing requirements.

Applicable scenarios
Applicable to occasions with low pressure and certain requirements for weight and cost. In some corrosive environments, such as chemical and food processing industries, the SCH10S slip-on flange made of stainless steel can not only meet the anti-corrosion requirements, but also reduce costs and reduce the weight of the pipeline system.

Sealing surface form (RF)
Structural features: The raised face (RF) sealing surface is an annular area that is higher than the plane of the flange body, and the height of the raised face is generally 1.5 - 2.0mm. The surface of the sealing surface is usually processed and has a certain roughness requirement to ensure a good fit with the gasket.
Applicable gasket type: Different types of gaskets can be selected according to different media and working conditions. For general water, air and other media, rubber gaskets or asbestos rubber gaskets can be selected; for high temperature, high pressure or corrosive media, metal spiral wound gaskets or metal coated gaskets are usually selected.
