Steel Pipes - EN 10217

EN 10217 is the European standard for welded steel tubes for pressure purposes, usually from 10.2mm to 2540mm in outer diameter and from 1.4mm to 25.4mm in wall thickness. Its application areas include pipeline systems that need to withstand pressure in petroleum, chemical, natural gas, electric power and other industries, as well as occasions where there are pressure requirements for steel pipes in construction, machinery manufacturing and other fields.

Tolerances:

 

Characteristic Tolerance
Outside diameter: D≤114,3 ±1% or +/-0,5
Off-roundness For tubes of outside diameter D ≤ 114,3 mm, out-of-roundness shall be included in the limits of the diameter tolerances.
Wall thickness (T): ≤5 +/-10% or +/-0,3 mm Whichever is the greater.
Wall thickness (T): >5 +/-8% or +/-2 mm, Whichever is the smaller.
Height of the internal weld seam The maximum height of the internal weld seam, after trimming shall be 1,5 mm
Outside Trimmed
Straightness The deviation from straightness, of any tube length L, shall not exceed 0,0015L. Deviations from straightness over any one metre length shall not exceed 3mm
Weight (M) For the mass per unit length the provisions of ENV 10220 apply
Standard length ≥ 6000 mm: 0/+50 mm
