Structural composition

Working steel pipe: As a channel for transporting heat medium, seamless steel pipe or welded steel pipe is generally used, which has good pressure bearing capacity and mechanical strength, and can meet the use requirements under different working conditions.
Insulation layer: It is the core part of the insulated steel pipe, usually made of insulation materials such as polyurethane foam, rock wool, and glass wool. These materials have the characteristics of low thermal conductivity and high thermal insulation performance, which can effectively prevent heat from being transferred from the working steel pipe to the outside world.
Outer protective pipe: The main function is to protect the insulation layer from damage by the external environment, and at the same time play a role in waterproofing and moisture-proofing. Common outer protective pipes include polyethylene pipes, glass fiber reinforced plastic outer protective pipes and steel pipes, which have good corrosion resistance, mechanical strength and anti-aging properties.

Classification

Classification by insulation material: It can be divided into polyurethane insulated steel pipe, rock wool insulated steel pipe, glass wool insulated steel pipe, etc. Polyurethane insulated steel pipe has good thermal insulation performance, high compressive strength, long service life, and is widely used; rock wool insulated steel pipe and glass wool insulated steel pipe have good fire resistance and are suitable for occasions with high fire protection requirements.
Classification by working steel pipe material: can be divided into carbon steel insulated steel pipe, stainless steel insulated steel pipe, etc. Carbon steel insulated steel pipe has low cost and wide application; stainless steel insulated steel pipe has strong corrosion resistance and is suitable for conveying special media or occasions with high corrosion resistance requirements.
Classification by outer protective pipe material: can be divided into polyethylene outer protective pipe insulated steel pipe, glass fiber reinforced plastic outer protective pipe insulated steel pipe, steel outer protective pipe insulated steel pipe, etc. Polyethylene outer protective pipe insulated steel pipe has good corrosion resistance and flexibility; glass fiber reinforced plastic outer protective pipe insulated steel pipe has high strength and aging resistance; steel outer protective pipe insulated steel pipe has high compressive strength and is suitable for occasions with large burial depth or complex geological conditions.
Production process

Polyurethane insulated steel pipe: Usually, the working steel pipe is first surface treated to remove impurities such as rust and oil, and then a layer of anti-corrosion primer is applied on the surface of the steel pipe. Then the steel pipe is placed in the mold, and the polyurethane raw material is injected. The polyurethane forms a uniform insulation layer between the steel pipe and the outer protective pipe through the foaming process. Finally, the outer protective pipe is processed and installed to complete the production of the insulated steel pipe.
Rock wool insulated steel pipe: First, make the rock wool into a rock wool shell of a certain specification, then put the rock wool shell on the working steel pipe and fix it with steel belt or iron wire. In order to improve the insulation effect and waterproof performance, a layer of moisture-proof materials such as aluminum foil or glass cloth can be wrapped outside the rock wool insulation layer, and finally the outer protective pipe is installed.
Glass wool insulated steel pipe: The production process is similar to that of rock wool insulated steel pipe. First, make the glass wool into a glass wool shell, put it on the working steel pipe, and then fix it before moisture-proof treatment and outer protective pipe installation.

Application field

Central heating system: It is the main pipeline for urban centralized heating. It is used to transport hot water or steam generated by thermal power plants or boiler rooms to various users. It can effectively reduce the loss of heat during transportation and improve heating efficiency.
Chemical industry: It is used to transport various high-temperature chemical media, such as crude oil transportation in petroleum refining, steam pipelines in chemical production, etc., which can ensure the temperature stability in the chemical production process and improve production efficiency and product quality.
Refrigeration engineering: In refrigeration engineering such as cold storage and air conditioning systems, insulated steel pipes can be used to transport low-temperature refrigerants or coolants, reduce cold loss, and reduce energy consumption.
Hot spring bathing industry: Used to transport hot spring water, it can maintain the temperature of hot spring water, reduce heat loss, and improve the utilization efficiency of hot spring water.
